Cranford Engineering has been working from the same premises, at the rear of Craddocks Parade, since 1940 – making moulds for the rubber industry. In the early days most of the products from the moulds (tools) were for the motor industry and we made tools for many of the famous car manufacturers such as Ford, Vauxhall, Jaguar, Triumph and General Motors. We also made tools for well known domestic appliance companies such as Goblin, Electrolux, Hoover and Dyson to name a few. Products we made the tools for have been shown on News at Ten and on the Tomorrows World TV programme. We even made a mould for the first National Lottery numbered balls.
The people working here may have changed over the decades but the passion for the business and the industry has not.
Nowadays we are still toolmakers to the rubber industry but we also undertake metalwork of all kinds and for all sorts of people. We have manual and CNC Lathes, a manual mill or two, a CNC vertical machining centre and spark erosion machines. We can weld aluminium, we can weld stainless steel and mild steel and we can fabricate. We can design and build almost any product from almost any material. Our work is different almost every day, whether its car parts, bike parts, boat parts or general domestic repairs or whatever. For engineering in Surrey or just general metalwork, we have the skill, knowledge and experience to make things happen. Call us on the phone or send us an email.
